Romans 8:9-11, 2 Timothy 1:6-12
It was early morning about a month and a half ago. The persistent tapping of the freezing rain on our bedroom windows and howling wind outside reminded me that most activities for the day would would take way longer due to the weather. I came downstairs and turned on the Weather Network to see how much worse the day was going to get. As I sat and watched the the reporters tell me how bad it was OUT THERE, the lights in the family room flickered and then … the power went out.
