Serving Our Community
Our beautiful steeple reaches far in the town of Newmarket. We believe God put us here on Main Street to tell His Good News and to love our neighbours. |
Our Porch Pantry
We know that now, more than ever, there are many in Newmarket facing food insecurity. The need ranges from the homeless, to individuals and families who have to chose between rent and groceries. We have created a new ministry right on our premises where we make food available to any who need it, in a covid-friendly, contact-free, 7x24 setting. If you need help, or if you'd like to join us in our mission, please contact us. Warm Hearts & Hands Ministry As well as food, we're providing new warm socks, hats, gloves/mitts, and scarves to help folks get through the winter. (*Note that during the pandemic we can't accept used warmth items.) Annex Cafe
We've added take-out windows to the side of our building so we can serve meals in a Covid-friendly way.
We're starting with a weekly "walk-through" breakfast, free for all, right on Main Street, on Wednesday mornings.

Christmas Gift Boxes
This year instead of sending "Shoeboxes" overseas we partnered with Inn From the Cold to bring a blessing of a Christmas Gift Box for those who are staying there. We also gave boxes to those who came to our Boxing Day meal.

Boxing Day Meal
We served our first full community meal on Boxing Day.
Observing all the appropriate Covid-19 protocols, we served the meal outside. We were able to offer a free meal to any who wanted to take advantage of it.
