1 Thessalonians 5:11 Words are extremely powerful. They have the ability to build up and the power to tear down and destroy. We might think encouragement is merely “saying” something nice to someone. But if we think that way, we fail to recognize the lasting power our actions can have also. Encouragement is one of the tools that God uses to shape the lives of of bother the giver and the receiver. And it’s a needed tool right now in the life of the church. Matthew 14:22-33 I’m really glad you made the time to be here again today. I know it’s hard when we’re locked up in our homes and concerned about what we might hear in the next news cast, but we need each other today as much as ever. We need the encouragement of each other to keep trusting in Jesus. So maybe today, take a couple of minutes just to send a quick email to someone who you haven’t seen in a while … and encourage them to hold on because Jesus is near. And remember … WE’RE BETTER TOGETHER! 2 Timothy 1:7 Thanks for joining us today ... Day 7 of BETTER TOGETHER! As followers of Jesus, we have reason to be courageous. God is our helper. An ever present help in times of trouble. He will never leave us or forsake us. And nothing can separate you from his love. Not even your current situation. And when we trust in him, he’ll give us the strength to stand firm no matter what danger lies in front of us. I really am glad you joined me today. God loves you and he knows what he’s doing.
