How to Give a "No Contact" Tithes and Offering

Even though we're meeting in the church building, we're not passing an offering plate. We prefer to do a "no contact" offering as a Covid-19 precaution.

Offerings can be sent to the office in two ways:

• Mail a check
• Interac eTransfer
• Drop a check or cash off at the annex 

Mailing a check

• place a cheque in your regular offering envelope and then put that envelope in another envelope and mail it to the church office
• if you do not have offering envelopes please make sure your name and address are on the envelope
• the address is:
  • Christian Baptist Church
  • 135 Main Street South,
  • Newmarket, ON L3Y 3Y8
• ​you can also drop it at the church office by putting it through the mail slot in the door facing Main Street 

Cash

• please do not mail cash- if you need to send cash please place it in the mail slot through the mail slot of the church office (the red brick building across the lawn from the church) in the door facing Main Street ​

Interac eTransfer

• send an Interac transfer from your bank account - our email address is [email protected]​
  • the exact steps to follow vary according to the bank you use, and you may be charged a small fee depending on the type of account you have
  • instructions for major banks: TD, CIBC, BMO, ScotiaBank, Royal Bank
  • when sending the transfer use our church email address which is [email protected]
  • we are set up for auto-deposit so you should not be asked to set up a secret question for the transfer - don't worry, it's still secure
  • make sure you're set up to send your full name with the transfer so we know who it came from
  • you should have a place you can enter an additional note about the transfer if needed- it would be helpful to include your envelope number in this  field if you have one 
  • if you would like to receive an income tax receipt at the end of the year please make sure we have your proper name and address ​
